Over 20 members of the Washington County Manufacturer’s Association (WMCA) visited DMI’s Monongahela facility on March 6, 2025.

The WCMA meets monthly from September to June. Monthly meetings and events include facility tours, presentations, roundtable discussions, social outings, and learning sessions in partnership with local manufacturers to advance manufacturing in Washington County, Pennsylvania.

The group’s hour-long tour was led by Director of Manufacturing Operations Doug Poundstone and highlighted our robots, automation efforts, and efficient human workforce.  It was emphasized that DMI’s automation strategy is designed to complement, not replace, our workforce. To support this, DMI is actively hiring and even surpassed the significant milestone of exceeding 500 employees nationwide in 2024.  The tour also highlighted DMI’s history, operational resilience through global challenges, community outreach programs like MFG Day and co-op programs, and our commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship.

After the tour, a follow-up article was written and published in the local Observer Reporter newspaper.  You can read the full article by clicking the button below.

The WCMA tour provided a valuable opportunity for locals to witness DMI’s progressive approach to automation, ongoing initiatives, and dedication to our employees and the community.
