Tim Omstead is a seasoned and talented Executive Director for DMI Companies. Tim first started his career path in the early 1980s as a Plant Manager for Hurricane Fans. He transitioned his successful business skillsets into the manufacturing industry and became a Purchasing Agent for DMI Companies in 1983. As a transformational leader with foresight and imagination, Tim climbed the corporate ladder and became the Vice President/Chief Purchasing Officer for DMI. Tim’s strategic vision and direction have guided the company to implement organizational goals and core values effectively and efficiently in the workplace.

Tim is passionate about integrating sustainability practices and products throughout the company to enhance the manufacturing process and its applications, increase operational efficiency and improve performance.

The University of Windsor and St. Clair College in Canada is where Tim attended and completed his undergraduate courses in Business Administration and Applied Arts and Technology. After graduation, Tim moved to Europe and played professional hockey for the Netherlands for one year before returning to start his business career. He is an ardent Pittsburgh hockey fan who enjoys spending time with his family.
